Why this runs here and not on a server
Because a tool that gets to see every piece of copied text should not make a promise it cannot prove. This page does not fetch the analysis module or the logo — both are inside the file you already loaded. After that it makes no request at all, and its own security policy forbids it from doing so.
Verifiable rather than asserted: open the developer tools, network tab, paste text. Nothing happens there.
